GUIDELINES FOR OUR WRITTEN PRODUCTION

You are latter-day RobinsonCrusoe. You are stranded on a desert island. It´s been ten days since you got shipwrecked and you start losing hope of being rescued. In order to keep track of time you decide to write a diary.Your diary will be in the format of a blog. In groups of 3 to 4 students. You have to write your impressions of your life on the island, making an account of your daily activities. For such, we will be visiting the school´s cyber room every now and then: once to start the blog (choosing a name, writing an introduction, presenting yourself, giving background information to the creation of the blog); a couple of times to add information to it, and one last time to read your mates´blogs and write comments on them.

Pictures are highly welcome. Be creative. You can add ideas but cannot change the factual information in the story.

Now, I had been in the island for eleven years and my most important work that I had to do is catch some goats and tames. In my hut I have dug out lots of caves in the rock, where I kept my corn and rice. When I was walking near the place that I left my boat I saw a footprint, I was feeling terrified. There was someone follow me? I had to know. And I looked for that person, but I didn't find anyone... And after sleeping,  I started to think:"I've never seen anyone on this island, and probably there is no one here. And there is the posibility that there are some cannibals on the island... I have to keep myself safe...". At the first moment I built another wall around my hut, and planted lots of trees in front of the hut...
Two years later I saw another footprint in the sand, I was in a part of the island that never had been before. Sundelly I saw a boat at the sea a miles away. A few minutes afther I saw a terrible sight... A lot of hands, feet and bones of dead people! I couldn't stay there, I got sick. Cannibals had come to the island to cook and eat people, I thanked to God for everithink I had on the island.
For the next two years, I dindn't went too far from my hut. I decided to save the person that the caniballs were going to eat, I was very angry with them. And I'd like that he help me to come back to Europe.
One day, when the cannibals back to kill and eat more people, I shouted with my gun the cannibals and saved a man that I called Friday, because the day of the week when I saved his life was Friday... In the days that I was with he I teach him to speak my language, and he was learning it very quickly. When I decided to kill a parrot, Friday was terrified I think that he was afraid with my gun, he thinked that I was going to kill him, and when the parrot falled down he was more terrified than before.
I was very happy that Friday was with me and I thanked God for having Friday's company
After a several days, he told me that the white mans, the europeans, have been in his island. Friday didn't want to send me back to his country, because in his country he was a dead men.One day Friday came running into the hut and he was very scared, he told me that there were six canoes on the shore, and he was afraid that the cannibals came to kill him. When I climbed up to the hill, I could see twenty-one cannibals. They were so close of my side of the island that I became very angry and I wanted to kill them. I began once more to fell that it was wrong for me to kill these cannibals. They didn't hurt me. And we saw two europeans with the cannibals. One of them died, and we shot them and saved the other european, who was Spanish. With the cannibals were the Friday's father and he became happy to see him again. After the fight Friday gave to his father some bread and water, after that he carried the spannish to the cannoe where his father was lying. We made something that the man could both lie on, then carried then back to our home.
There were a lot of people in my island. I had saved the life of all these people. I asked Friday whether his father thought the cannibals would come back with more men. Friday's dad said that they probably died on the sea. They would probably never come back. I heard later that the four men did get back home safely and because of what happened to them, none of their people ever came to the island again.
The Spanish man told me that there were sixteen of his men on the mainland, he said that they had no gunpowder and little food, and they couldn't make a boat because they had no tools. The Spanish might try to take me to Spain and I'd be killed because I was English and the Spanishes had a different religion. The Spanish men promised that this wouldn't happen. He was very grateful to me, I saved his life. He said that the other men would be grateful to me too. Because they haven't no food or gunpowder. He said that he could go back to the mainland with Friday's father. He would talk to the men and make them promise to follow me.
For several months, the four of us worked very hard, we needed food to make our voyage. At last we had enough food for everybody. The Spanish man and Firday's father went away to the mainland in a canoe, I gave them two guns and lots of food.
One day, Friday woke me up in the morning nervously, he saw a boat, he though that it was cannibals. I climbed up to the top of the hill with my telescope. It was an English ship, but something was wrong. There were eleven men on the boat, but three of them were tied up, they were prisoners. There was happing an mutiny. The boat leaved them on the island. After a lot of hours I talked with them. They were very suprised to see me. I asked them what happened there. And then, they told me. One of them was the captain of the ship, there was a mutiny. The captain said to me that they would kill him but they leaved him and the other two men on the island to die. We decied two things: the captain must obey him and when they get the ship back, they must go to the England. I helped him giving to him and his men some guns.

I told them my story. They couldn't believe the things that I told and showed them.
The captain told me that there were twenty-six men on the ship. They had all been part of the munity. There weren't enough of us to fight against so many men. He heard the sound of gun, it was coming from the ship. I saw through my telescope ten men coming from the ship with guns. The captain shout to them until they went back to the boat after a several hours. When they saw that their boat was empty, they couldn't belive it. They were very frightened, and they were sure that they were going to be killed. The captain told to them that thre was a governor on the island waiting for them and said too that if they put down their guns they could stay live. We put three of them, the worst of them, in the cave and tied up the other at my bower. The captain told that when they go back to England everybody would be killed beacuse of the mutiny. Terrified, all the men fell down to their kness and promised to give their lives for the captain. We told the men who went with the captain that they must do evrything that he said if they didn't , the governor would kill them. I drank a drink and sat down. I gave a hug to captain and thanked him to help to save my life. At last, the prisoners were thankful that I didn't kill them. I told the captain that I would stay one more night on the island ,while he got the ship ready. In the 19 of the December 1686 , I left the island. I had been there for twenty-eight years, two months and nineteen days.
